Both Mothers and Fathers have a way of setting everything right. One time my mother was in a fanciful mood, inviting the boogey man to come out and talk with her. She was told that he was not trying to scare me, but just trying to stay warm on a cold winter evening. That did it for me, no more scary bumps in the night to frighten me ever again. This is a great poem for the big night coming up soon. I thoroughly enjoyed it... and it brought back to me some wonderful memories about Halloween and my friends!

I was going to say something about kids who are fraidy cats. But then, I was slayed by that last line––precious!

| Now that was fun. I seem to have some similar memories. Nice rhythm and rhyme for the season Jane. Be well, Kathy |

Yes childhood imagination may not be imagination :)
Remember children are more open than adults until
adults close the mind of the child...
I often have friends visit me in the night :)
I'm used to it lol
Lovely write Jane as always you do very well
never fear the friendly who are drawn to you
there are reasons :)

| Naw, I never had those dark room fears, my mother was my demon and if she opened the door I was in trouble of some kind. You're on a roll with the Halloween poems though. Good luck on your book. |
