Nothing’s changed!
© 2007
Dan Johnson

I’ve got to get out of the house,
need to shake off these blues filled bouts,
hard as I try, nothing’s changed

I walk down the sidewalk,
head down, no one to stop and talk,
to, about, unintended consequences

I thought if I went to the sunny side of the street,
A bright spirit would guide me
on a clear and direct path back to you.

No matter how I try,
still leaves me blue
And I want to rearrange
My life to get back to you,

Yet, nothing’s changed.

I met this gal up in Kalugnuk,
Her name is Sal,
her brother’s name is Chuck.
They fished for more than fifty years,
Sadly though,
Sal had no teeth,
Chuck had no luck,
Fishing, that is.
And they went no where, anymore.

Let me wish you a dream,
Gently join me, please,
We’ll go over the hills, cross the streams,
Over the peaks of firs, hemlocks
And other rooted schemes.
Sleep with me through summer nights
We’ll join together in star ship flight.
From one majestic place to another,
Hand in hand, with you,
my night time lover.

We all need to have someone to share our thoughts, ideas, dreams otherwise we are left in a world of silence, a void of sorts...

Be always safe,

it's tuff to experience the holding pattern...the inside wants the change but the physical world goes silent...you've expressed it well

Toothless and luckless ... poor Sal and Chuck. The ability to dream, and have others share with us in our dreams, will oftentimes get us through the valleys of uncertainty.
Blessings ...
