| Since you reviewed my poem I thought I would reciprocate. I was truly impressed by the content and the selection of words in this poem. It was so much more than truth, beauty and the American way that most poets gravitate to. It could really feel what you said. The words kept my attention all the way through to the surprise ending. The reawakening of a lost soul. A wonderfully crafted piece of work! |

I can relate to this one for it is all too easy when we are striving to just keep our heads above water to tie in all the negativity of our past and lose sight of what once made us smile in our hearts...but still if we seek we shall find. Glad you found you Kay.

This is brilliant Kay, very sad in places but exceptionally well written. and I have to say that it would be a terrible shame for anyone to lose some-one as warm and kindhearted as you.
take care.

i'm happy, Kay, you posted this under
Mainstream because it certainly is a work
this reader, for one at least, can wholeheartedly
identify with, it speaks to me in the clearest,
most personal way..and it challenges and it hurts
a little...as it should.
Yes!
