Ancient Cutlery: Tines of Coven Three

ancient hilltop
wind-powered furnace
the Devil goes up in flames,
Tarot banishes the demon within,
the fire burns upward toward the Light,

the women sit
at the tree stump
table, red cloth napkins
draped over the Death card,
spear it with the three-tine fork,
eating it alive, a transition to a
new state, cut the unnecessary,

not far the way
the crow flies, the
radio Tower broadcasts
a divine source of power,
fire, lightning, falling, disruption
occured because it was needed,

the Magician, a
lightning rod, pointing
to earth to ground the potent
energy, this card a signal to act,

the evolution
of the fork, how
tines have multiplied,
numerology addressing
demonology,

the problem,
two tines good
for holding but of
little use in carrying
food from plate to mouth,

thus emerged
three tines, and
four tines, the fork
evolution story hypothesizes,

devices evolve
the way they do
because of dissatisfaction
the way the current system
works, we have so far, evolved
to coven three.

Yes evolution of society is a continuing thing, so sad it takes such a long time for mutual acceptance to grow. Well penned as always, Sage.

Wooden tines of two
For me they don't work worth a shit

I wonder just how many of the things we use today have their roots in ancient times. I know most of our tools, eating utensils, and clothing. But what else?

This is a wonderful poem and as Donna said, "heh...how many men have been wielded this fate"

Nice story poem Sage, andit really made me think of all the things we have that go back to ancient or even prehistoric times. Thank you for sharing.

May the Lord Bless you, and those whom you love, and be with you always, and walk by your side. With love in my heart, joy to the world, peace on earth, & ((((((((((MANY WONDERFUL SISTERLY HUGGGGSSSS)))))))))), your den sister Barbie

heh...how many men have been wielded that fate

your work is always so revolutionary
thank you for the tine time.

This is an eerie piece. Kind of evolutionary foreboding. Tines of two, three, or four waiting for work to do because it is needed.

Peace and lightning rod energy,
Dayvid
