|To be brave and listen to your hearts feelings
takes courage and faith! YOur words express it in a loving and caring way Sweet Fee!
I've been HERE, and to go forward is usually the best answer, it takes TWO and when one is trying more than the others, a change is necessary and usually the BEST Answer for all!
To hang on usually festers resentment!
YOU shared it well!
as your heart could feel their sadness swell...
WE parted as friends and it was the BEST thing that could have happened! I wish your friend the BEST that life and love can GIVE!

|A lot of truth in the feelings you express here, Fee. It takes courage to end a relationship - to admit all has failed. Maybe your friend will be happier? Your writing skills make this one shine!

|The chance we take when we love. And at what cost not to love? Truly one of life's greatest risks that we so often fall into without any regard to what it really means or really asks of us. Your passion speaks volumes. Thank you.|

|I guess I am a hopeless romantic-married to the saem man for 24 years but I still send a Christmas card to some ex-boy friends. Letting go is hard-at least it is for me but you are right-it can be the right thing to do and no sense taking the low road with it.
Very powerful poem

|This is wisely written, Fee! How sad that some marriages aren't founded on friendship/trust/respect...then comes love and marriage. Bouncing bedpartners just won't make it...and best to part in peace.

|Love sound very similar to Lust which a white wedding dress with a five layers wedding cake and two hundred invited, church's bells and a limo with a Just Married and a bunch of empty cans can blind anyone, and when they open the eyes theyr marriage goes sour, like that wiskey on the rocks.
Better I should write "Love, what's it?"
Fee, you should selling hankerchiefs by the gross.

|I agree with your words felix, if you don't love each other, part as mature adults, theres no need for hurt and pain. Sometimes lust is mistaken for love. Thank you for sharing.

|Beautifully written, Fee! It's sad when a relationship comes to an end and I agree, leave while the parting is still amicable. It took my ex-husband 8 long years until he was able to be friends with me after our divorce. Now, I kind of wish he was still pissed off at me so he'd leave me alone! ;) lol hugs to you my sweet friend ...|

|You express all the emotional turmoil that encompasses and end to love, but sometimes it is better to move on when all hope has been tried and lost. Very delicately penned piece....

I'm speechless. I will kudos Gina for now about more doors :)
but I will say I Love The Intro
"Canít hold on to fleeting shadows
Nor make love to what used to be
Canít kiss goodnight our memories
No, I need someone just for me"
