This happened a couple of days ago.

After We Talked

After we talked
And you chose
We cannot be together
I went from certain heaven
To possible hell
I wandered about
I met a genuine damsel
Girl with ebon hair
And purple shining
Eyes gleaming darkly
Black pearls
Beyond beauty
Looking at her
I could barely breathe
Her everlasting entity
Grabbed me by the soul
Beautiful black hole
Endless depth
Bottomless ecstacy
Thinking of you
I wondered
About certain heaven
And possible hell
How close I walk to the edge
I was sad for you
Not for me
I am beyond sadness
Because I love
And hurt like hell

Tremendously powerful and beautiful poem Regis. I can feel the emotion in every word, every line. Walking on the edge. I know this well. I wrote a poem called "Sleeping Tide" which touches on some of these themes, like life on the edge. We keep doing this Regis. Must be something in the poetic heart.
