I sleep as I live,
I live as I give,
Never really lonely,
Just by myself,
ALONE...
Will I ever be different,
Sharing with another the rent,
Doubt it do I, as I tell others to get bent,
Only for a time do they share with me,
Only for a time do I feel lent,
The rest of the time,
I am, ALONE...
Occasionally, a call I get,
From others that supposedly do not forget,
But I live like I live because I alone I do not fret,
Liking my life as it is, by myself smoking a bone,
And living life as I do not have regrets,
ALONE...

Alone, but not lonely, you have many friends, neighbors who like you, and all.. .. and some family members still also. Know the feeling though, it's like wow, why am i alone? But it sometimes has to be.

ED ... 'ALONE' AND 'LONELINESS' ... TWO DIFFERENT THINGS!
COPY OF WHAT I JUST POSTED ON RON'S PIECE ...

RON ... SOUNDS LIKE A 'CRY FOR HELP' TO ME.
MAN IS A GREGARIOUS CREATURE ... ERGO, UNWANTED SOLITUDE CAUSES LONELINESS. IT IS SAID THAT A PERSON CAN FEEL TOTALLY ALONE, EVEN IN A CROWD ... WHY?
IS IT MENTAL ATTITUDE? IS IT BECAUSE THAT INDIVIDUAL IS SO IMMENSELY DIFFERENT? DO CIRCUMSTANCES, OR ENVIRONMENT CAUSE THIS DEEP-SEATED FEELING?
"WALK A MILE IN MY MOCCASINS!" COMES TO MIND. 'OTHERS' CAN NOT FULLY EMPATHIZE WITH SUCH A PERSON, AS THEY CAN NEVER EXPERIENCE THE SAME SET OF CIRCUMSTANCES, BUT THEY MAY WELL ATTEMPT TO SYMPATHIZE, WHICH SAID PERSON MIGHT WELL INTERPRET IN A NEGATIVE MANNER, THUS FEELING EVEN MORE LONELY. IS THIS A POSSIBILITY?
"LAST MAN STANDING" ? OR, COULD HE BE JUST A 'DIFFERENT' MAN, UNABLE TO STAND? DOES HE KNOW OF OTHERS, WITH SIMILAR CIRCUMSTANCES, WHO CAN TRULY EMPATHIZE? IF SO, DOES HE COMMUNICATE OPENLY WITH THEM? DOES HE WANT TO? HAS HE TRIED? WOULD HE THEN BE LESS 'LONELY'? I WONDER ...
PEACE, TOM. |

Sometimes we all feel alone in the physical but if we have one who shares our heart, then we are never truly alone.

| This sounds like a good place to be. I hope I can find that kind of peace with myself. |

| We live as we choose ultimately. I prefer company since alone, in my case, there isn't much. Patrick |

| I've lived alone and I know what you mean. Alone, I need not answer to anyone. It's not easy to live with someone! We are, I beleive, solitary animals!! Thank You. |
