Easter - Time For Peace (Rhyming Acrostic)

Rhyming acrostics are difficult for me and I do find them often a little "forced." Still I enjoy the challenge. Photo (by me) of daffodils of my lawn.

Easter - Time For Peace
    (rhyming acrostic)

Early dawn and the stillness
A
wakens within a brightness

Silence is deceptive
The Earth is receptive
Every soul yearns for healing
Reeling from eons of ill feeling

The time is now for peace
It is time for wars to cease
May we at last become as one
Every being become golden

For far too long the Earth has bled
Over millennia peace has fled
Reject old ways and pave the way

Put all your enmities away
Embrace the possibilities
Accept the bounty of beauties
Creation has so long offered
Eternity has now proffered

This acrostic seems like a hard one to write, and I wonder if it was the case for you. The rhyme is not perfect everywhere, which is fine, but at times it does seem forced to me, as if you were just trying to rhyme for the sake of rhyme. This also makes the flow not always smooth for me. There is definitely something to ponder about from the content. I still liked the poem but I wish the flow was smooth throughout the whole piece. It's like you don't have a flow structure, or a pattern to the flow ... and that seems to be part of the problem.

Regis, truly you excel at these - for you it seems to be the case that the more difficult and elongated the acrostic, the better. And rhyming, too! You seem to thrive within strict poetic confines and to bring forth such seemingly effortless beauty. Peace, love and Easter joy to you always. xx

This is a nice sentiment. Maybe someday people will all wake up at once and realize that life truly is short, and that we can all have some joy from it if we work at that happiness together. After all, what other reason is there for living other than trying to find and give happiness?
Bright blessings to you and yours, Regis,
