WE ARE NOT A PERFECT NATION...FAR, FAR FROM IT. BUT COMPARED TO SO MANY 'OTHERS', I MUST SAY...WE ARE THE BEST!
I THANK GOD THAT I WAS BLESSED TO HAVE BEEN BORN IN AMERICA. HOW ABOUT YOU?

Just a note to let you know

I appreciate your shores...so

***

I am grateful...God deemed

that in this land I should be born

It could have been some other place

where 'Liberty' is trashed and torn

///

Many have come to your doors

and you've opened them wide

Sometimes you've paid  a hard price

but your 'Freedom'...still does abide

***

I know you've been around a little while

you've been battered...showing wear and tear

But I want to say,  even with your imperfections

I am so proud of you...and still...I care

///

Every day...

no matter what your condition or weather

I thank God for His sweet Mercy and Grace

which brought you and I...together

///

I don't know what the future holds

but I can promise this...

I'll be there right beside you

through the storms...and the bliss

///

So it is...wth much love

that will never ever end...

Happy Birthday To You!

Happy Birthday, My Friend!

Joyce, I have lived in Europe for over ten years now....31/2 in the UK and 61/2 in Italy....and although both places are beautiful, I can, in all honesty say, that we, as Americans are truly blessed. Beautiful writing, Joyce.

Indeed, still a baby nation, or early preteen. A culture will develop over the next 1000 years. Or faster if it could learn from the indigenous peoples.

Indeed, Canada is blessed to be in the commonwealth, giving it a balanced mature view ever since 1812 when it kicked the new yanky ways out.

An apt and timely offering, Joyce. Me (in Canada) and you (in the U.S.A.) are fortunate to live where we do. Love and blessings,

Christmas - only days away; plastic snowmen and glowing reindeer adorn the lawns of neighborhoods all across America. All is calm, all is bright, and yet there is something tragic..
