Hi Sherry. The title "Broomsticks" caught my eye. After reading this poem, it put me in the mood for Halloween. Great write. : )

Originally that is why people dressed up as witches or ghost, ghouls, werewolves, mummies and such, The real monsters wouldn't catch them. People centuries ago were very superstitious. You have written this one well sis, thank you for sharing.
May the Lord Jesus bless you, and those whom you love and who love you, and be with you always and at your side constantly. With much love in my heart, joy to the world, peace on earth & ((((((((((MANY WONDERFUL SISTERLY HUGGGGSSSS)))))))))), your little sister, Barbie |

| Totally love that picture's caption - a classic! Has a picture-book quality to it, Sherry, that, for me, takes the horror out of Halloween and replaces it with something altogether more palatable (in the blood, gore and terror stakes!) Reminds me to check my face in the mirror this evening...! :)) xx |

A howling good write. Your picture reminds me of the scariest witches I ever saw–those in the Wizard of Oz. My brother's wife, is still a good looker at 70, dressed up for a witch picture with her granddaughter last week. Except for some green coloring for her skin, she doesn't need any makeup to look the part.
