Summer...

For kids summer is a holiday...

Lawnmower blades cutting,

Hoses squirting,

Neighbors talking,

Rakes on the ground scraping…

Children playing,

Ocean waves breaking,

Old men complaining…

Temperatures rising,

Allergy sufferers sneezing,

Lifeguard whistles blowing,

Dogs barking…

Tree’s rustling,

Flea’s marching,

Knee’s knobby rattling…

Mouths slurping,

Fans spinning,

Air conditioner noise rampant,

Summer sounds do enchant…

Hurricanes..... June through November.... Dick

PS: That photo looks like our beach "hot spots" during the winter, but they might be a little less crowded this time of the year.

Quite an "ode" to summer, Ed. Mind you, some of the things you mention I can quite nicely do without... ...as I sneeze. Lol! Love and peace,
