I couldn't see the fireworks from my house, but I could see this.
Independence Day, 4th of July
A warm summer’s eve
Brilliant colors fill the ebony sky
Red, blue, yellow and green
Ooh and aahs from all the crowd
Joyful feelings from all around
But in back of the man-made colors,
Something else glows, so special but
a secret the crowd will never know.
A rare harvest moon so large and round
No one paid attention, it was never found
Soon the fireworks were over, time to go home
Man’s show was brilliant, but God’s rare gift
Much brighter shown, no one saw it,
it was there all alone.

|Mary, no more breath taking sites in the night sky than the magnificence of a harvest moon. Fire works! A minuscule event
compared to nature's encore events. I wish you peace and love my friend. Jon Michael

|Very perceptive. There have been quite a few astronomical wonders lately. I haven't caught any, but, thanks to the Internet I can find them and rerun the videos to my hearts content

|That is all too often true, some of God's greatest gifts of nature are upstaged by man made gimics or tricks.
