LEAN ON ME
Lean on me and let me stay
Close by you throughout the day
I will lead you in the night
Away from storms when there is no light.
Don’t be afraid of the angry sea
Stay close by and let me be,
Your tower and your lighthouse when
The angry waves will toss again.
They slap against the peaceful shore
Causing the angry oceans roar.
Put your faith in me my child
Rest assured, don’t be riled.
Cast away your burdens then
Hold my hand and do not sin,
Please be faithful in your life
Avoid the worry and the strife.
Knowing that I’m always here
I’ll lend a hand so please don’t fear.
You need to always start your day
Praising me, and then you’ll say.
Thank you Lord for loving me
Thank you Lord, now I see.
You’ve given grace and love again
You’ve shown me that you are my friend.
When the angry sea does come to shore
I’ll never wonder any more
I’ll never doubt the love you gave
You sent your Son, that He would save.
