It sounded like the sky fell, the way
it avalanched through the roof and
into the room. The walls, bleached
pale, bowed out, snapped back, as
did my ears. Forgot what thunder
sounded like: been a while since
we've had rain. RAIN. Rolled over,
closed my eyes, went back to sleep.

|-- I have slept through three severe hurricanes -- thunder does not arouse me -- but I can imagine what a start it must be to those that sleep lightly or normally -- my part of the world is in need of a good rain also -- hope it comes soon -- God bless -- JMW|

|Since sleep and I are not always on friendly terms, I welcome
the rhythm of falling rain, and the pure pleasure of rolling
over and losing myself in sleep. Thanks for this, Karla.
