-Early Morning In The Mountains Of Tennessee-

“Climb the mountains, and get their good tidings;

Nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees.

The winds will blow their own freshness into you,

While cares will drop off, like autumn leaves.”

John Muir

Music: Tennessee River,

By Alabama

I awoke before first light

To a misty mountain morn

The river was still sleeping

As a new day was being born

I wandered over to the river

Two of my dogs, at my side

And we sat on that riverbank

Watching a glorious day arrive

The mist, was cavorting about the trees

The autumn colors, were hangin around

This old river, began singing and sighing

Here, some wildwood smiles were found

I need to visit wild places like this

When our hectic world gets too much

Here, in this new misty mountain mornin

Neither man nor nature, were in a big rush

We watched the new morning mist, floating on high

Soon, we heard the birds, singin their morning songs

Eventually, the sunlight began peeking, all around us

This tranquil misty mountain morn, erased the wrongs

I awoke before first light,

To a misty mountain morn;

The river was still sleeping,

As a new day was being born.
