Tomorrow Tuesday, June 5th beginning at 3:09 pm PST, the planet Venus will travel across the face of the sun, a process called a transit. It is a fairly rare phenomenon and won’t happen again for 105 years. So there you have it, the chance of a lifetime. DO NOT stare into the sun without a #14 welder’s glass. Or you can punch a pinhole in a sheet of paper to make a pinhole camera and observe the sun’s projection.

Transit of Venus

Goliath sports a blemish

Once a century

Millenniums pass

Hesperus the evening star

Entertains again

Twinkling goddess dark

Fusion’s backdrop deity

Helios humbles

Celestial paths

Kepler’s ellipses proven

A goddess obeys

Very creative! I love the "twinkling goddess", Goliath's blemish and the goddess obeying, walking the path that proves Kepler's law.

Actually they come in pairs 8 years apart every 121 yrs. The science withstanding, once again the chance to see nature in all its splendor geometrically speaking will be worth the wait, like watching for Halley's comet I'd say, which I saw and describe it as a dirty snowball.
Thanks Patrick for sharing and reigniting my childhood memories one more time.
