Powerless in an empowered world, I have only myself to turn to – or blame. My decision…rise or fall. My decision…meek or strong. My decision…write or wrong. Attitude adjustments for every occasion. Some days, I am a mouse – struggling to creep unseen and uneaten through a rocking-chair room of long-tailed cats. Some days, I look at the world with teeth bared and claws sharp fighting to defend my right to be defensive. Today I can hold it together… bearly.
