Revised from an earlier work.
Wishing and wanting can be at times,.. The only escape, from one's real life.
And there are times in some of our lives that "Escape", is in deed, needed.
Being unseen, unnoticed, being ignored, can be also a form of abuse. Especially in the life of a child.
Children require definition, affirmations, attention, validation as we all do. To go unseen as a child sets the stage for low self esteem issues that can plague a life for it's duration. A child that may well never reach full potential, may never find their destiny. May never be able to contribute to the world something of fantastic value, that they alone "could" have. We all have value. Children unseen, search for, instead of fulfilling their destiny, a place to feel worthy. Worthy of being loved, worthy "to" love, and sometimes, worthy to be here at all.

Music "Truly Madly Deeply
by; Savage Garden

All she wanted was a pony.
Someone that she could love.
Someone that she knew for sure,
Would love her back again.

Someone who was at her level
That she could see into their eyes,
Someone that she knew would be there,
For all the times, she cried.

All She wanted was a pony,
Someone that she could trust
Who would listen to all her dreams,
Her hopes and or, her hurts.

Someone she could spend her time with
All the time she spent alone.
Someone to wrap her arms around
When ever she was scared.

All she wanted was a pony,
To ride and race the wind.
And then she could forget the fact
That Daddy's home again.

Someone she could sneak off with,
When the shouting became to loud.
Someone that was warm and safe,
When the shouting turned to wale's

All She wanted was a Pony
Someone she could trust.
Someone who would romp and play,
Someone's who's love, would last.

A Safer wish, to hope for
Should never it come true .
Something still to dream for
instead of her own truth.

All She wanted was a Pony
All she really wanted was the love.
The love a pony could give to her,
That her parents never could.
~*~
All She had wanted was a Pony
All she had wanted was the love.
The love a pony could have given her,
To show her she deserved.

Abuse comes in many forms & is never gender related.

Physical, Emotional, Spiritual and more.
It is also part of, a continuously growing Chain. Built link by link, generation by generation.

What begins in Childhood as pain. That can become Hidden, imagined away in the form of wishes, and dreams. Because Children "can" be resilient, and when the pain becomes to much for them to deal with, their minds can allow them that type of escape. The all to often only way of escape, that a little person can find. A form of dealing, with harsh realities at the hands of those that are supposed to protect, and love them. A way to hopefully, survive. The pains, can later turn into the Scars of an Adult. The searching however can go on. Carried over from childhood a search for "that" lost "Love". And if "Love", can not be found for the lost child, The chain grows longer with each new link. The pain, unknown buried "thoughts" of the hidden, belief system. That is what makes the behaviors, the reactions to things, that is what helps the chain "grow". Hidden unhealed hurts, thoughts of "why" then, should a child of their own deserve love? Adults "need" to be able to acknowledge, and feel their own pains, before they can have and know, compassion for another. The Child within still cries, "What about me?"...Why can't you love me?"

Heal the Child, and the Adult will heal too. Heal the Adult, and the old chain will become broken, and a new chain will be built. A New Chain built of Love.

Please help where and when you can. Remember that what pains and frustrations we each deal with, or can add to in the everyday lives of another. Perhaps something so simple as in our own frustrations and how we may deal with a "voice" on the other end of the line.
Those emotions may well find an outlet, a child at the end of a day.
They may well find Children, who's wishes for a Pony,
Are in reality, a wish for Love.††

Deb it is good to see you here! This heartwrenching but very powerful
message on the destruction, that neglect and lack of love can cause. It is abuse and needs to be examined and understood. Thanks for sharing. I wish you all the best.Eileen
