Sometimes in dreams I am wrapped
inside your arms and resting safe,
becoming who I am and was
always meant to be.
On other nights, in other dreams,
you sit and pray as I fight to shed
skin too tight, to break free into
a world that waits for me.
Such agony to inch along,
knowing I could fly – if only
I could find the place where you are,
learn to let it be.
Such joy I find in dreams when we
explore brown earth, green canopy,
working side by side, day by day,
doing what we can do.
In dreams I treasure most of all
we become a blur of color,
flying, frolicking, fluttering
through forever flowers.
You become again treasured friend
I thought that you had been. And life,
blue sky field – our rightful home, and
love, the air we breathe.

| Fantastic poem of on-going struggle, birthing and determination to truly become "who we are meant to be" - I can so relate! But, once the journey is begun, nothing can prevent the metamorphosis from taking place - even if the "labour" is protracted!! Beautiful language, images and lines here, Dawn: "And life, blue sky field - our rightful home, and love, the air we breathe". Your title and epithet: blue sky field - will stay with me a long time. Bless you and thank you for this... may you continue to "grow" and take further flight in 2005! LOL Kate xx |

| I believe in dreams, I believe in hope. We need to stay in the "real" world, but dreams can come true. Never forget your dreams. |
