still having probs here, may have to leave to get my mind straightened out...is it just me, or is anyone else having problems at their den??

still having problems, can't see my reviews,
nobody's stopping in, i've got the blues.

can't do anything right, i am not worth anything,
i am so frustrated now, i want to yell and scream!

server error, this is why i can't see who stopped by,
and it is enough to make this forty-five-year-old woman cry.

i have no friends, what is the use?
instead of glory, all i get is abuse!

i might as well end my writing, i am ashamed of my work,
how can i feel happy when life treats me like a goddamn jerk??

i am stepping out for a while, don't know when i'll come back,
but i am sick of life giving me nothing but sadness and flak!

Don't ever be ashamed of your work. Keep writing. Writers write because they have the need to express themselves. We get very little attention, notice, or rewards for our writing. However, our writings might be influencing someone.

Go ahead and vent, Karen. We ladies are lucky to have that pressure valve. I lost an entire poem this morning into cyberspace. Luckily, I remembered it and wrote it down. Its been my practice lately to write directly on the screen(I know, risky habit)when I create a poem. When I am frustrated to the boiling point I take a break and do something nice for myself, which seems to change my mood. Moods are ok, just don't let them manage you. You manage them...We need your sunshine!

Hello my little Tex Friend, great rant Karen. Don't feel rained on all by yourself. Quite a few of us feel and are having the same problems. It's all about the outside world but the control of its effects are in the inside world of our heads. The outside uses us for a punching bag and we have a choice in our own heads if we want to punch ourselves. This I'm fighting now, trying not to punch myself as bad as the world is punching me. I've kind of lost interest is writing also but every time I get bored I think about it being something too do. take care. G

It's anybody, really, who is having problems at this time, at least everybody I know. I can resonate with your mood but I shouldn't nor should you allow sadness to go too far. The question: Does anybody care, I must admit, is a very good question but the poem should have a surprise ending, some unexpected discovery perhaps.
Call me or send me a message to jamaalfna.yahoo.de whenever you feel the way you feel right now. I'll always be there to listen.

I finally got a reply from Simon while I was in Toronto, and seemed a bit upset that I was maybe a bit sarcastic in my recent letter to him. He remembered his letter to me on Dec 23rd., but it appears from his letter he did not receive any of the letters I wrote in between, even letters to Matt which went unanswered. But this is a very good rant. We should all write similar rants to MSN and Yahoo, because they mess up worse than AuthorsDen.com. I haven't had any problems here so far, either with acceptence from my peers here, or with the site. But that is not to say it won't happen sometime.

Listen Karen, listen well,
For thee does toll the bell,
Of strangeness and life,
Muttered feelings and strife,
Upon which you write so well,
But don't you worry none,
Cause computers can be fun,
You have done it time and again,
With your writings and then,
With a wink and a smile,
You took that extra mile,
Be of great cheer,
And don't ever sneer,
At a machine that has no soul,
But does complicate things so,
It is not the reviews you don't get,
That's causing a problem in your head,
But glitches in the site,
That need to be set right.

GOT IT!!! GOOD!!! Now get busy and write another Ronee' story. I'm waiting patiently girlfriend to read it.

May the Lord be with you always, and at your side constantly.

We all go through periods wondering, "Is it me? Am I no longer lovable?" Well, some people don't, those blessed with the elusive happy gene. Heeheee. But us average people do. When everyone seems to do a disappearing act, I wonder, what's the likelihood that everyone would disappear at once. I see the hand of God in such instances and believe it's at those times that God's calling me to speak to Him more and less to others.

I lubs you! Off to read your story stuff.

The internet is a big place, and the main disdvantage of any community type site is that they promote themselves, not really individual authors or members. Unfortunately, it's difficult to be both the artist and the agent at the same time. If I were you, the first thing I'd do is get some rest. Take a few days to clear your head, and while you're out there, find someone to help you on the promotional end.

Submit your site to some search engines, trade links with people, and organize your work into topics that you can use as seeds to grow sites out of, that people will find when they do searches on the topics. It takes some time, but it works. It worked for me.
