|I watched in horror as this was reported on TV that morning. It took me back to that day of horror when I was working in Boston's financial district (my first day of work too!) and we heard the reports on the radio (we listened to the radio in the common area every day) of how a plane had hit the World Trade Center. We were joking that the radar must have been off...then we heard about the second plane hitting....and having been a daughter of a pilot in the Air Force (now retired), I knew that this wasn't accidental. We were told to get out of the building and go home. I used commuter rail. it took me from 10:30 am until 3:00 pm to get home (a 45 minute train ride normally). The horror and raw pain inside was hard to live with for months...and still is fresh in my mind.
Sorry to go on like that! But, this took me back. Great tribute and indeed these terriorists are cowards. ;) Silver

|Right Karen. we must say no to terrorism. Being a moslem I feel so bad that people are attacked in the name of my sweet religion which is so peaceful in nature but trasformed to religion of horror by extremists. Most horrifying part of the story is that some of the bombers are Somalia or Ethiopians of Somali origin. that must be shocking as we never knew a somali to blow himself up to take the life of innocent people regardless of their identity and religion.

|Thnx sis for sharing these powerful words of cowardly attacks. I guess it is true what they say. Only a coward is afraid to face a battle head on. May God in His infinite wisdom, help us and all decent nations, put a stop to these cowardly attacks that take so many innocent lives. Long Live The Queen, because England shall prevail. May the Lord Jesus bless you, and be with you always, and at your side constantly. With much love in my heart, stubborn to a fault, joy to the world, peace on earth, & ((((((((((MANY WONDERFUL SISTERLY HUGGGGSSSS)))))))))), your little sister, Barbie

So few words and yet so incredibly powerful!
Sad though, how "extremists" inevitably give innocent people a hard time. Generalizing as so many do, breaks my heart. Often I wish that many would open their eyes and see through the haze.

|Short but capturing the moment. Being English and a Londoner myself, although now living in America, I can only say that we English are a funny breed and that old saying" what doesn't kill you makes you stronger" definitely applies to us. The Germans bombed London into rubble in WWII but they couldn't take away the spirit of the people. Likewise, despite the horror, if you look, Londoners have picked themselves up and the very next day were going about their business, refusing to be frightened into not doing it.
We need to pray for all those who were hurt, all those missing family members and friends, and for the perpetrators themselves, that their hearts can be filled with love instead of this hatred.
Keep on writing!

|...to cap it all we have had supper tonight watching a movie about global warming creating an Armageddon situation: "The Day After Tomorrow". Truth is more gruesome than fiction, when it comes down to it. We only die once. But life can be made a living hell on earth on days like today. Emergency services have been AMAZING as has been the common sense and goodwill of those on the ground to assist. Thanks for ALL the solidarity and loving concern expressed by friends on this site; I know I don't have to ask you for prayers for those who grieve and suffer - but God has graciously averted further atrocities in the past and I would request especially tonight for prayer that other follow-up outrages be averted - in the UK and elsewhere. "When the brokenhearted people living in the world agree - there will be an answer: Let it be". And Nobel Peace Prize for Sir Bob! Thank you, Karen, for your sympathy for our blood and tears tonight. Bless you, Kate xx|
