a positive thought for the victims of this tragedy.

The Blessings to Come

You woke up
One day to find everything
Your whole world turned up
Side down
No homes
No apartments
No food
Nothing familiar…
Crazy days in the Big Easy
Or Gulfport as you
were confused
Thought you were off America’s
But God always had you in his sight
And I’m here to tell you
The blessings to come
So wipe those tears away.
Store the wicked fears and say
To yourself and others affected
“I will make it.”
We will be here to help you make it.
No more crying
Is necessary, unless its there to purge
You will continue to grow.
We are hear to shoulder you.
Give you what you need.
You will make it cause God’s in the blessing
No matter what, know the blessings to come.
And be inspired to live for now.
Because you weren’t left here for no
You will shine.
So dust off the shame.
And know at the end of the day you will be
And we will be here to carry you through the
Other side, until you see the beauty wonderous
