KINDRED SPIRITS: Young Saplings

Watching the twilight of my Mother-in-laws life, I see an acceptance and a yearning to see her husband again... it was from this observation that I wrote a series of poems about love after death, sharing eternity with your kindred spirit

In our own seclusion
exposed... completely free
yearning for more
in our own kingdom
our hearts met
our souls touched
no longer two
we became one
under a maple tree

This is so touching that it brings an ache of longing to the heart knowing someday it will be ourselves gathering under a maple tree and hoping we shared at least once in our lifetime the kind of love you express here.

Beautiful. You have created a perfect jewel. As one who has
been happily married more than 50 years, I salute you with
mist in my eyes. So many times we have to remind ourselves that
our loved ones stay with us, and we with them. Thank you! 'Pea' <3

This is really beautiful, Dave. A life shared is difficult to continue living when one must leave and we are left to face the rest of our days without them. The heart never forgets its mate and it longs to hear that echo beside it again.
Take care,
Sherry
