Put our saddles in storage side by side, polish the dust off our day ride, by the look in your eyes, I take it you've fallen for me hard.
Caught in the stirrup, from the kiss, we can't look back, all written in horsehair ink, walk away with braided memories, free-reigning lust loped the sagebrush range.
Rented me for a day, I threw in the wildhorses for free.
Women have come and gone, bought dreams here with me for the day, bunked for the night, cried for a month. What is it about women, wildhorses, and lust?

What is it about
women, wildhorses, and
lust?
Great question, Sage. Makes me think. Makes me wonder about me. Love and peace to you,

Oh.... Just think its great
when somebody takes the time
to look deep into anothers
eyes
It tells a lot about her
mind set, whole stories can
be written about this single
act
Rented, every moment of
time is rented to somebody
or another, through out a
lifetime
She would certainly cry if
bringing her dreams and only
got a single night, with her,
she cried only a month
Women, wildhorses, and lust
their energys live in all of
us

| Ahhh, so now you are for rent? Good write Sage..I like the image of dirty women ohh dusty ..seriously I rode once and the horse knew it and walked right into the middle of a lake and stayed there..I love dthe 3rd stanza even though I joked but not sure I get the third one..why did they cry for a month? I could say that about my foster kids minus the lust of COURSE but I think I may have been the only one crying if they stay for that month.. |

Yee Haw! Love the wildness in this one--untamable; unbroken; free to roam the countryside!!!!!! Excellent!

I agree with Jerry Sage! You penned a gem with this one! We all have to ask that question once in awhile, otherwise we get stale from being in a rut...

Great poem and question dear Sage! As is said, always honour the question. The answers often change, but not the question!!
I love this line too:
"...Caught in the stirrup,
from the kiss..." Gorgeous!
Love & Wildhorses Suzie :-D |

| Damn, but you outdid yourself with the wordplay in this one, Sage. I mean, "written in horsehair ink," and "braided memories,/ free-reigning lust," never mind that the poem itself was just fucking good!!! |
