my marriage inspired this poem when times were getting tough.

there used to be a glowing light
in your eyes that shined so bright
but now all i ever see
is pain sorrow and misery
something must have got you down
cause theres a darkness all around
your soul that was so full of life
but now it is just filled with strife
please let me help you if you can
i need you to understand
theres nothing you can do or say
that will ever push me away
the love i have for you is strong
please tell me what is going on
so we can work it out tonight
i want to see tht shining light
back inside your loving eyes
and not the tears that you have cried
my love will be here till the end
as a wife and as a friend
