Shoshone, her wife
Otter Woman, Sacajawea
dives, her name means "boat pusher,"
fur for fur trader, rocks Otter Woman's
little woman in a boat, just look at "its"
elongated shape...
smoke on the water!

not wrapped in
waterproof packaging,
Sacajawea and Otter Woman
take a tributary to Beaverhead River
unlike any Shoshone oral tradition, to get
to the mountains where their womankind live,

capsized pleasure, Otter Woman
spills...Sacajawea dives to retrieve
valuable stories and instruments which
floated out of Otter Woman's boat...smoke
on the water!

met up with guide
Old Toby, but they
had already been through
the mountains,
they go down
to Nez Perce country, resume Beaverhead
travel, recorded in the diaries because of the
significance of womanly expedition,

Sacajawea and Otter Woman
return to the Dakotas, the age-old
homophobic rifles echo, she rocks Otter
Woman's little woman in a boat, smoke
on the water, Sacajawea dives!...

Did anyone ever imagine lessons in history and geography could be so blazingly erotically sumptuous? I didn't. The SMOKE ON THE WATERS of these lines heat up and expand many preconceived notions about little women in their boats, and lives, as witnessed by history and themselves.
