This is my grand-daughter, Jordan, and I.

Jordan Loraine,

Light of my life,

In Sunshine and rain,

In a world of strife,

Where money reigns,

Power's a wife,

And wise men strain

To understand.

Delicate flower,

Sweetness of youth,

Soften the blow

And soothe the brow

Of he who would

Gain the whole world

But sacrifice

Himself and you.

Till the day comes

With sight anew

He embraces

The world and you.

When we have children and grandchildren and, yes--as I know--even great-grandchildren, we want nothing to harm them and everything to save them. And so it is I share the thought:

When we live with God in our heart,
Our future is to live in the heart of God.

For we all look forward to the day when we and our loved ones are together forever in the grace of our Creator.

OMG in 3 years I could be a grandad, 16 being the age of consent here..

This is a fine tribute and I find the "sweetness of youth" symbolically meaningful. Love and peace,

"Sweet Youth" is excellent prose that describes the many different situations and emotions in life we face and what's truly important. Thanks for sharing. My best, Gloria
