I wrote this poem when I was 15 and my grandma died. My grandma died in a hospital - we got the call around 5am - when my parents went to the hospital a nun was praying at her bedside.

.....and then you went away
there were no last good-byes,
not a tear has fallen yet
not before my eyes.

The prayers said above you
in hope you had heard,
to conclude your eternal sleep
with one final word-
Amen.

Interesting point of view, one final word, as if to sum up a lifetime.......

Be safe,
Karen
