Tear up the map
and let's chase down
the night...
escape across
the desert floor
over long thin ribbons
of road...

Come ride with me
she whispers
and give me your smiles
and we'll sit back
and feel
the warm, fresh wind
the low, red glow
of asphalt afire
for miles and miles and miles...

some kind of modern siren? this is just gloriously and colourfully filled with nuances. .. . tearing up the map? i read this as lost....complete abandon.. in every sense[ual] of the word--- and your words have a tendril'd effect, reaching farther than anticipated, leaving only the slightest of breathy traces... .
succinct and soft and splendid~

when i read this i think Jim Morrison and his trip in the desert [though i cannot remember what song that inspired right now]

i like the idea of tearing up the map. i really do.
lets not ask for directions or look to other couples for the way it should be done... lets try make it on our own... find our own way or being together...

it also kinda makes me think of the chorus/refrain from tracy chapmans song 'fast car'

nice work.
