It doesn't matter what we believe...

It doesn't matter what we believe
Universe's vast and dark
It takes much more than spark of faith
To start the light

Trust my words for I've seen through
The veils of deceptions
And I've seen the faces of demons
And I've heard the words of damnation

What is demon, should you ask
Take a look into the mirror
Nothing else but your own heart
Is the demon

Trust not the falsity of words
But the witness of your eyes
Believe not in the false gods
But in voice of your own heart

It's not that you are important
The truth is just the contrary
The cold star and the blind wind
Do not see you and don't care

Don't believe in good and evil
They're both lies
Leave alone the old beliefs
Let them die

Void of hopes and preconceptions
Go alone against the tide
Leave behind the dust of dreams
Spit in stony face of Time

For in the face of the inevitable
One thing only counts
To at least once see through
The iron walls

Deep. I particularly love the line:
"Spit in stony face of Time"

I'm inclined to live within and without, and here, my ears prick up at the defiance of a human sould looking at the universe from without.

I really enjoy the philosophical underpinning of your very acute mind.

Nothing is good to know which does not inspire us. Even the truth if it is cold and empty and bitter.
