Always near, ever close by The warm, tender feel of summer morning, Often without a hint or warning, You are the glow of sunrise sky. A walk in the garden, mind in reflection Your face appears when my glance goes To softness of a wistful rose With petals blushing to perfection. The splendid sun king broadcasts while Sending sunshine born of fire; Songbirds' roundelays in choir Ignite me like your amorous smile. End of day, right on cue, Melodies fill my heart: reprise Of love lyrics in exciting keys; It's Mardi Gras, the nearness of you. � 2002 Patrick Talty
