Eyes - The Color of Rum

He looked like a man made from the sun

With bed room eyes the color of rum

Brown as the dawn, passing over calming seas

Those warm rum eyes that looked out at me

Those bedroom eyes made from the sun

Who watched me with eyes the color of rum

Should I dare to shrink from his touch and hold?

Upon eyes that have seen many stories told

Those bedroom eyes made from the sun

That gave him the colorful eyes of rum

Eyes filled with love and emotions and dreams

Of many fine lands upon lifetimes seen

Those eyes that look beyond the soul

From a man who has a heart of gold

Those bedroom eyes made from the sun

That gave him the colorful eyes of rum

It is his spirit I feel beneath my skin

That allows me to feel his warmth within

A space in time he travels and dreams

Of many lifetimes of things seen

Through eyes that are gifted by the sun

Those bedroom eyes - the color of Rum

"The color of rum" was a very good descriptive choice of wording. Not only for the qualities of rum but also for the creativity in choosing original concepts. I enjoyed reading it.

What an amazing story you tell just from looking into someone's eyes. I can only envy the man who provokes these feelings from inside of you.

Thanks Kathryn. Glen
