while unpacking a box...i found this necklace

a piece of jade

hanging from the thinnest thread

delicate, and fragile are its strength

fashioned as a necklace

how can it be worn, I wondered

the slightest stress would damage

its prolong around the neck

of its wearer

ah…but that is its mystery

for to garnish such a prize

is to know it may only be worn

in gentleness

calm and thoughtfilled

trance or meditative dreamlike

qualities  are its medicine

of longevity

jade, exceptionally tuff

a valuable ornament of stone

its beauty of expression

lures its observer within its precious good

suffering lifetimes of carving

cutting and ultimate polishing

it fascinates a minds harmony

and creates new expansion

and reminds one to be gentle

I love the way you and a piece of jewelry can have a special connection.

From a person who only wears one piece. Thanks for reminding me.

Your piece of jade --- such a work of art.
I second R. Beeman's statement ...
"i enjoyed that. deeper meanings read between the lines gives this work a very polished feel."

Jade, the stone that only a Pharao could wear...or his Queen.

oh how lovely Debby - Jade is missing from my bag of stones at the mo - i should rectify this - i lost my soft Indian tigereye beads i wear all the time, in London, the only thing I have i think, that would really upset me to lose - and i cant believe it, but i found them in a washbag when i got back to Tenerife - a very strange and happy thing! I love your Jade write -

it fascinates a minds harmony

and creates new expansion

and reminds one to be gentle

Super! Nicky xx
