Woman and nature are but the reflections of each other

Copyright ©2008 Ed J

Behold as heavens darkened veil
Befalls upon the earth
A pulsing breeze sweeps gently
All nature sways in sync

Rippling waves caress the shore
With dancing peaks of light
Stars arranged and glisten
Arrays of blue and white

A moon in ever changing bright
In mask of misting cloud
Scent sweet of blooming roses
Adrift within the air

Calming sounds of wind and sea
In soothing rhythmic beat
Serene the realm of nature
In this we call the night

And still with all its beauty
Its true ness dimmed by you
The pulsing breeze be mimicked
By silken hair a flight

Waters still, reflecting
Your beauty clearly seen
Stars reflect and shimmer
In eyes where passion dreams

The light of moon upon your face
Does gleam a paling gold
The scent of open roses
More sweet on velvet skin

Soothing sounds surrounding
Fall faint beneath soft words
For all which is in nature,
Are mere complements of you

What I like about this is the romance blended with descriptions of nature. You are an expert at writing romantic poetry!

One of the many things I enjoyed about this poem was the journey your words took me on - from an admiration and respect for nature swept to one fair maiden - truly lovely.

Keep pen to paper,

Now I'm convinced that the romantic soul of the southern gent is alive and well in you. Beautiful poetry that causes a passionate beat in the reviewer...like me. I do sooo love romantic poetry. I also love it when it's from a southern heart.
Blessings of life,
Susan
