There's a darkness in my soul but a smile on my face. |
|
There's a darkness around me.
It crushes.
It envelops.
It swallows up.
It devours.
It is infinite.
It is unbroken.
Except for one pinprick of light.
The light that remains when all others go out.
The light that shatters darkness.
That breaks its grip.
That weakens its hold.
That pushes it away.
That burns it up.
Because darkness cannot remain while there is light left.
...can it?

| I could hear this as spoken word when I read it, it has a good message, and the ending leaves the reader thinking. |

As long as there is light there will always be hope, well said...
Be always safe,

...the smallest fraction of light will always be seen...in the largest part of darkness...perhaps the goodness yet to be found.
