For love and grace.

Make a way for love and grace

in every day, at every place.

Give yourself some room to grow,

and keep some things you cannot know.

Your smile may douse a burning house.

The smoothest route your care may have paved,

and just as all seems lost to you,

you'll find you were the one who gave.

Make a way for love and grace

at every time in every place,

and what you give will always grow

to reach the greatest thing you know.

And when you've heard a hundred times,

"The giver isn't you. It's me",

you'll need a lot of giving friends

to live your life less angrily.
