I miss him so much, words cannot be enough.

My good friend Ed is out of commission.
He is the hospital without any remission.

He's in there doing his thing.
While i'm out here not doing much of anything.
To be happy without him i'm not.
I just wish i wouldn't be such a sot.

I dream of him most nights.
And would go to  him by the flights.
Then i would end my days of worry bout him..
His fiancee Rene has gone to see bout him.
She says to let you all know he is on the mend.

Slowly but surely', he'll come back again.|
To us on the den.

Much thanks to you Rene.

For letting us know of his recovering.
It means so much to let you know.

That i'm wishing the best for you two in life.
And that he'll come home without any strife.

It is difficult to say 'good-bye' to those we love. Part of the healing process, I believe, until that reunion, is to remember them here in many ways. Reading your poetry helps me, and no doubt many others, through the many loses we all endure. Thankyou for taking the time,Lois, to put your life into poetry. God uses that.

You are NOT alone, my dear. Friends are forever and, though I often take 'time out', you are my friend :)!

God bless and watch over you 24/7 ... as always but closer.

It is the simplicity that speaks volumes. Compact and concise. So many of us have forgotten the true meaning of the holiday when we should be celebrating a birthday. I do not know this author, but she strikes me as a devout Christian. Her love for life, God and people is evident in this terrific holiday treat. Thank you for sharing.

What a lovely tribute you have created! It is obvious to me that you
have always been tender-hearted, but age and the losses that inevitably come with it either make us more caring and sensitive, or (if we let them), bitter and standoffish. You have already grown more tender, it is easy to tell. May your holidays be filled with even more sweet memories, as well as excitement over the new possibilities that the new year will bring. Hugs! 'Pea'

PS: Think about changing the dark background near the top or change
the text to bold white or yellow. I had trouble reading that part and suspect there are others who will. MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

Again, Lois, another wonderful piece. Alone, but not ever alone. I hope you know that Tom watches you sleep, smiling from above, celebrating your anniversary with you, up there. /and Christmas, ah, Christmas....I love that time, too. Where magic tends to float the air and bring anyone and everyone together for Christmas, everyone seems to give a little bit more around the holiday season, if only it was always.

I've got a similar feeling, Lois. A yen for the Jingle bells, snow and Santa Claus. The hot humid summer in China is hard work for a pale-face from Scotland. I sometimes stick on a Xmas CD with all the past hits, John Lennon and all the rest of them.... merry Christmas in advance!
