Waking from dreams as the first light of day creeps in

First light

Quietly slumbering
Drifting in dreams
Mind gently floating
Along meandering streams

Silken folds rippling
Soft shadows of curves
A naked form turning
As dawn slowly stirs

Soft rays of light
As dreams drift away
Eyes flutter open
To greet a new day

Lips form a smile
Dawn ending the night
Recalling my dreams
As I bathe in the light

Feeling the warmth
Wash over me
Like a soft rolling wave
As it moves with the sea

Fingers move softly
And run through my hair
Brushing back wisps
As I breathe the sweet air

A faint distant sound
Of waves meeting sand
Rhythmically beating
I think of your hands

The smile starts to broaden
With details of dreams
I turn to the light
Caressed by its beams

Basking in glory
Born of your touch
Though you’re not present
I remember your lust

Kath,

As I said before, "love your rhyming." The imagery and the romance of your dream goes perfectly with the sensual photo. Peace, Love and God's Blessings Always, Paul.
