Waking from dreams as the first light of day creeps in |
|

First light
Quietly slumbering
Drifting in dreams
Mind gently floating
Along meandering streams
Silken folds rippling
Soft shadows of curves
A naked form turning
As dawn slowly stirs
Soft rays of light
As dreams drift away
Eyes flutter open
To greet a new day
Lips form a smile
Dawn ending the night
Recalling my dreams
As I bathe in the light
Feeling the warmth
Wash over me
Like a soft rolling wave
As it moves with the sea
Fingers move softly
And run through my hair
Brushing back wisps
As I breathe the sweet air
A faint distant sound
Of waves meeting sand
Rhythmically beating
I think of your hands
The smile starts to broaden
With details of dreams
I turn to the light
Caressed by its beams
Basking in glory
Born of your touch
Though you’re not present
I remember your lust

Kath,
As I said before, "love your rhyming." The imagery and the romance of your dream goes perfectly with the sensual photo. Peace, Love and God's Blessings Always, Paul. |
