Everything Happens For A Reason....even when....

Halo

An angel fell from the heavens;

Was it an accident of fate?

Tumbling from the grace of eternity

into this universe of mortal hate…

Battered by the loss of freedom,

laying on the rocks of regret;

bruised beyond recognition;

her heart beneath perils wept…

The wounds of this angel

lying still by her side,

my grief over whelms me

in honor’s hope I may abide

awakened from the dew of morning;

I looked deep into her eyes…

Her mirrors of emerald splendors;

Are reflective of her stormy cries;

A precious angel fell from heaven;

I rest my weary heart in shame…

Glory is this angelic beauty;

asking me to call out her name…

This angel abandoned her eternity;

or was she thrown from the grace of god?

Embracing her in mortal unity;

I called out her name in sorrows trod…

“Halo from the purity of heavens essence;

with darkness of grief upon my heart;

Your destined name is Love’s Divinity …

the beauty of all glory laying here torn apart…”

Totally agree - what an ending to a masterpiece!!

“Halo from the purity of heavens essence;

with darkness of grief upon my heart;

Your destined name is Love’s Divinity …

the beauty of all glory laying here torn apart…”

Angelic! This can be interpreted many different ways, I mean we have all lost precious people in our lives that resonate in your poem and wonder at the injustice.
