|This is the first piece of yours that I've ever read, Micki. And it's absolutely wonderful!
In my long life, I've suffered a number of quite tragic and hurtful "events." But I do believe none has been as soulfully painful as losing a child.
In "Heartache," you share eloquently with us and truly touch me.
And from an editorial viewpoint, let me express my appreciation for the mechanics of your poetry: the metre and rhythm of your lyrics and the sheer ease with which I feel the words flowing from my mouth as I read your pain aloud. I especially felt a personalized connection with your loss when you shared with us, "Her name, though not important/Rings out as if a bell/Nurturing a love so constant/The name she bore...Noelle."
You've given me a hunger. I must read more of your work!
With respect and admiration,

|This must have been tough to write. It took me twenty years to write about my first wife who died of cancer. It is called "A Slice of a Short Life' and it is posted on Authors Den,. Come visit me when you can.
God Bless You!

|It matters not to most of you
The sun she made to rise
She was the early morning dew
And the light of evening skies
Actually, it does matter very much and it is difficult to find words that do your expressive write justice, Micki. I wish you love, peace, and healing,

This is a very emotional poem but it is so well written it and beautiful. The love and pain of a mother for a lost child will never be erased, but I pray God heal your heart with His grace.

|This is a beautiful poem, which shows such deep emotion and pain. A thousand tears could never wash away the tears that you have cried. You lost a daughter, and you lost part of your heart and soul.
Please stop into my den when you have a chance. I would love to know what you think of some of my poems and short stories.
