This came to me while remembering the Funeral of JFK

                Mask of a dreaming king

        All but distance, can require, consideration of death of sire
        Contempt of few, a passing breeches the safety, panic in the streets
        Bells pealing dark songs, drum and fife, closing off another life
        Beneath Oak, grown old,clinging root, whisper of the wind, moot

        Procession, demands a parting of the way, weeping faces in dismay
        Box of glass, and lead, ride the dark horse carriage, the King is dead
        Following a distance behind, young prince, paces regal, tears denied
        An age, laughter should be the rule, a child understands, life is cruel

A very good poem.I wasn't born when JFK was alive,but he was indeed something special.I've heard people on the news and from other shows talk about when JFK was assinated and how it affected everybody at that moment.take care and thanks for sharing this poem along with the memories of the funeral
