Who Am I?

This verse was written "tongue in cheek." It is an answer to all those questioners who try to make us look like fools by asking the silly question "who are you?" Anyone who has seen the movie "Anger Management" knows how effectively Jack Nicholson used it against Adam Sandler. Well, we all could use a good "come back," couldn't we? Here's mine: |
|
Who Am I?
I am your average
Substandard mortal
Who is rarely
Overworked
Always overpaid,
Backstabbed too often
And envied? Well,
Never.
I am devoid of grace
Inspired by liquor
Quick to find fault
Slow to give praise
And too tired to
Improve.
I’m sometimes bewitched
Occasionally bothered
Often bewildered but
Typically confused.
When the world sings
I sulk;
When others run
I walk;
And when I should just shut up
I talk.
I am confused about
The future
Cannot make sense of
The past
My present is scary
My ass is unhairy
But I’ll stop and
Sit on it fast.
By the way …
Who wants to know?

'By the way …
Who wants to know?'
WHO indeed!?
You may be surprised!
Love it..another gem to ponder upon..
You have me sitting here..reading,reading, reading .. when I should be off to town soaking in the rain-washed air while the sea and sky enjoy the many nuances of grey....hmmmm
saving this as well :))))))
