But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says: "God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble. - James 4:6

A sheepdog is a type of domestic dog whose original purpose was to herd or guard sheep. Sheep dogs are trained specifically to this calling. This was a remarkable achievement, considering the fact that sheep would have been its natural prey. The shepherd was able to mold them for the special task of tending sheep and to act on the sound of a whistle or by voice command for his advantage. Sheep dogs are just one category of pastoral dogs.

As I consider the roll of the sheep dog, I cannot but grieve in my heart over the state of the American Church. We were never called to be Christians but were called to be Disciples. The great commission of Jesus was to go out and preach in the highways, byways, and across the four corners of the world. Yet today, the majority of church leaders are content in staying within the four walls of their sanctuary – ineffective; lukewarm; indifferent to the reality of judgment being exacted upon the wickedness within our nation.   The Churches of Believers need to get back into the field within their communities...  We need LESS shepherds MORE sheep dogs!
To be blunt, there are many on the wide path that will lead them to Hell and very few laborers in the field communicating the truth of the Gospel. To the contrary, there are more churches concerned about membership and social gatherings than preparing disciples. They expect people to attend their sanctuary vs. commissioning disciples within their congregation to save the lost outside. Have we forgotten that they we will be ultimately held accountable to the Great Shepherd – Jesus Christ!
James 5:3-5
3Your gold and silver are corroded. Their corrosion will testify against you and eat your flesh like fire. You have hoarded wealth in the last days. 4Look! The wages you failed to pay the workmen who mowed your fields are crying out against you. The cries of the harvesters have reached the ears of the Lord Almighty. 5You have lived on earth in luxury and self-indulgence. You have fattened yourselves in the day of slaughter.
We must change our approach if we are to influence this dying society. It is time for the body of believers to unite across denominational differences under the banner of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It is time to get back to the basics of our faith!!
To effectively influence ours society, the leaders of the church must transition from religious practices to the service and humility of being Great Sheep Dogs (the caretaker and protectors). The mission needs to shift from growing churches to gathering in the lost – up close and personal with the Great Shepherd Jesus Christ!
It is a time to call all sheep dogs for the service of the Kingdom of God!
During the past sixty days, I have been inspired to gather together Pastors, Deacons, Prophets, Ministers, Clergy, and Laymen to a Major Gathering that will take place in Winchester, Virginia from the 5th of March to the 8th.   The purpose is to align the body to the scripture of 2 Chronicles 7:14 (drawing into the shepherd) with a mission to hit the highways and byways of Winchester’s inner city for the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  The goal is NOT to have a Pastor’s contest nor another Church Event --- but to evangelize the lost in humility and prayer.
I have a number of warriors for Christ flying in from around the country and have secured two churches that seat over 1,200 – as staging, prayer, and worship areas. We will be mobilizing within the city with the mission to preach the Word of Truth to the Lost. We will be returning to the basics of the Great Commission. We will be taking on the role of Sheep Dogs to save the lost and to guide them along the path of discipleship.
Consider this… Last Monday the 5th of January. I drove into the inner City of Winchester  by myself during Lunch and used that time to communicate the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to those passing by. During that time, seven were convicted unto repentance and accepted the Lord as their personal Savior. They were also plugged into a local place for fellowship and growth. It was then that the Holy Spirit spoke to me. I was grieved to consider that there are thousands of churches in this region – yet very few are adding to their number daily as in the Book of Acts.
The Lord spoke to my spirit the following, “The fields are white and ready for harvest. Where are the harvesters [Sheep Dogs]” ?
A Prayer for More Sheep Dogs…
Dear Father in Heaven,
I cannot help but consider your Word and the truth of the Gospel. You said that through one -- a thousand will take flight and by two – ten thousand will flee. How is so that the body of believers within this nation are living in such defeat by the evil one? How is it so that only few are chasing out the kingdom of darkness by the light of the Gospel? Please forgive us for becoming indifferent and content within the four walls of a building that is labelled “church”, while the world dies around us.
Lord, for years WE have taken on the title of Shepherd, while doing very little to protect our flock. How arrogant!! Truly Lord, there is only one Shepherd – It is YOU Lord Jesus, you and only you is the Great Shepherd who gives His life for the sheep. I beseech you to please change our priorities and perspective for your service and honor! The “Great Commission” command us to make disciples and to gather in the lost to the light of truth. Please change us from mindset of being passive shepherds to active Sheep Dogs!
Glorify your Son by changing our hearts to seek out the lost within streets of our communities. Unite us under the banner of service and evangelism. Heavenly Father, you used this insignificant servant to speak the truth to seven souls that were changed from darkness to light within a one hour span of time. If only a thousand were to follow suit under the anointing of the Holy Spirit each and every day, this nation would be turned back to you within 30-days.
Lord, I pray that there will be a revival within this nation that surpasses all since the beginning of time. We are in perilous time where darkness encroaches and where iniquity reigns across this nation. Yet, light has always shined its brightest when it is most dark. Revive our hearts unto service again.
As the moon reflects the light of the sun,  annoint us to be a beacon of light within this dark world.  Use us to revive the hearts across this land for your honor and the glory of your Son, Jesus.

This I ask in Jesus’ Name! Amen!!
