An Eclectic Journal...Cambodia
by Morgan McFinn

This journal chronicles the year my wife and I lived in a wooden Khmer style bungalow in southern Cambodia beside the Kampot River. There are tributes to greatness..

This Is How I Know

A poem I wrote last year but I like it and wanted to post it for everybody to read

This Is How I Know

02/16

This is how I know the conclusion to that never ending question that kept lingering inside has been established

This is how I know it's time for you to hand over that 65 you owe me and those books I let you borrow

This is when I pull my famous move and start taking advantage of the ignore button on my Motorola cellular

This is how I know to glance at the number before I read the text message and delete it immediately

This is when I stop hoping for a future because you can't even get the present right

This is how I know I’m fed up because when I occasionally think of you the thoughts aren't pleasant

This is when I know it's time to tell people to stop asking me about you because I simply don't care anymore

This is how I know I'm two steps from being over you

Because I'm starting to really dislike you
