 there was a prescription
he rendered
on whispers, in
an art of love
and war. he tallied
soap stained, lanquid,
with a soliloquy [soliquey].

she tried to
clarify his profundities,
to no avail.
instead-rank weariness
measured against
somber living
and the consistent
use of misuse
and discontent.

he lived in fear.

Now this is one to read and ponder - too bad life isn't always pretty. Thank God for poets, though, who record all aspects of life, and who see the beauty amidst the ugliness of reality. I really like this one, Donna, uniquely crafted. Well done!

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
