My name is America, but many call me home
I’m the place where people like to rove and roam
I have story to tell, just listen and open your ears
Here, here’s a tissue so you can wipe your tears
It began on the 9th month on that 11th day
When some of my roamers began to betray
It was a clear, regular morning. Nothing seemed too strange
Little do I know, this was the day my life would forever change
My two most important kids, my twins I loved so dearly
They were murdered on that day; oh I remember it so clearly
I already had a scar from December seven, forty one
Even though it hurts to say, that’s the battle that I won
The newest scar I have I’m sure it will be remembered
That’s the day it happen, the day my twins were dismembered
When my loyal roamers realized that we were under attack
They heard the sound, seen the fire, then everything went black
On this day I received a new scar, and it still hurts extremely bad
I forgive all the things they’ve done to me, but this was really sad
A few kids lost their parents and I’m sure a parent lost a kid
Nothing will compare to this horrible thing they did
I’ll tell you a story about a family that was affected
Moving to New York would never be what they expected
The mother got a job; she was to work in the 2nd tower
The morning of her first day, she got up and took a shower
She woke her kids, got them ready for a usual day at day care
Before leaving, they got on there knees and they began to say a prayer
Dear God sanctify mommy, for she is really thankful you have blessed
No more asking for money, no more headaches from being stressed
Let her have a good day, and bring her back to us safe
I would hate for her to leave us, I would hate to be a waif
The children got off there knees said Amen and goodbye
Little did they know, the mother would soon be face to die
She clocked in to work, and then she began her training
She ask the manger could she roll up her windows, it look like it was raining
Little did she know, the showers weren’t made of rain
She looked in the sky to see one of the towers had been slain
As she cross the road to safety, she heard a very, very loud crash
She turn to see what it was, but she fainted after the flash
The fragments of the towers fell on her face and breast
She felt the smoke in her noise. She then began to rest
Her children heard what happen, and they made their way to the towers
When they found her body, they asked “God how could you take what’s ours”
They cried, and cried, and asked the Lord what happen when and why
Asking the Lord to forgive them for being cynical, they just wanted to say goodbye
They caress the hand of their mother; it was still fragile and very hot
They prayed harder to the lord, we love her we love her a lot
They felt her body move slightly, and then she mumbled a word
A tear ran down their faces, they knew they would never forget what they heard
They pulled her out the dust and ashes and they preformed CPR
She awoke from her comma, which made this experience so bizarre
Thank you Lord for giving back our mother, we’re sorry we doubted you
This is the end of the story, my name is America God, and I’m sorry I doubted you too! |
