Dear friends, sorry for being quiet for a while, couldn’t read your work or write anything… My Muse is gone around the Christmas time but I am hopeful that God will send him back…

You disappeared with autumn weather,
The wind blew golden leaves away,
My dreams are shivering in the cold,
Desires are dying under the snowfall,
Romantic illusions are gone with the fall,
The mystery of love is rolling into a snowball.

Being immune to my love and care
You stole the twinkling lights from my Christmas tree,
Warm wishes are swept under the frosty snow,
My trust and hopes are frozen in the air,
My spirit is wandering in the world of deception,
And my Christmas tree lost its magical glow.

The silence is roaring in the kingdom of darkness,
Expectations, like icicles, hanging from my tree,
Soon they will melt and wash away memories
Of our wild dance and moonlight melodies
Created in the midst of sensual surrendering
When passion was rushing like a river through me…

The ecstatic toccata you played with your fingers
That rippled through my soul and body
Like an exalted, enchanted symphony
And filled my heart with the splendor of love
Now… it’s only a sad memory…
Your heavenly kiss, like a fainting star,
Fell into the waters of the Dead Sea,
Extinguished in the pain of love’s misery …

Everything is frozen in time,
My love for you is crystallized memory,
I sadly placed my faith and my hopes in a box
Under my dripping, naked tree,
Don’t know how long they will survive,
Don’t know how many times the Moon will smile at me,
But the box will always be there
Waiting for someone - who knows the magic of love,
Who will let my hopes go free
And again…
Will light up my Christmas tree …

Well if this is an example of what you can do after a short break you should take them more often for this is wonderful indeed.

Ankin,
loss always seems that much more poignant in the cold, bare season...human loss and mood reflected by natural decline, or is it the other way round? I'm not sure but what I do know is that this poem reaches me and reaches me well.

It sounds like the same blue moon Christmas that I had. Thank goodness there won't be another one for 19 years!

That music box can only play one melody, the one a lover so tenderly composed for you with whispers and moans over pentagram lines of a Lust Symphony...
