Whimsical story about a proposed date

If you accept an invitation to tea

You can spend an afternoon with me

I’ll show up on time and tell you that I’m

Hoping you’ll sit on my knee

They’ll be music and dancing and fun

The shades will keep out the sun

Then when we get high, we’ll both just sigh

And say we have just  begun

Your friends may call to complain

How you’ve left them out in the rain

You can tell them good bye and say that I

Will buy them a weather vane

Your father may come by to cry

And claim he’s going to die

He’ll probably say I’m having my way

By telling a great big lie

Your mother may call on the phone

And offer not to moan

If you leave the tea and leave from me

She’ll give you an ice cream cone

The bosses may send a memo

To say you may get the heave-ho

They’ll say come to work, for everyone’s sake

Or your checks you may have to forgo

The parson will preach and rail

And tell us a very long tale

About sin, hell, and others who fell

From grace and went to jail

But, we’ll toast them all with rum

And tell them they just can’t come

To our party for two, just me and you

Where love may come to some

Persuason

HAHA, the title made me think of the mad hatters tea party.
If she offers not to moan then, IT'S A TRAP! Run like hell.

Sound like the Mad Hatter's Tea Party, but much better. I'll come to tea sounds good to me.
