Little Bo Peep has lost her sheep
Now I lay me down to sleep
If I should die before I wake
I love the smell when cookies bake
I loved my Mom with all my heart
At the grocery store I’d push the cart
I would guide her to the isle with ice cream or candy
If we stopped for a treat that would be dandy
My childhood holds so many memories, some good some bad
Some that I still hold dear are those of hunting trips with Dad
My Dad is now with God and I am Dad taking his place
I find that now my twilight years I face
That is all a part of life’s great cycle and it goes on
I pray my kids continue after I’m gone
Live your life for all you’ve got each and every day you live
Those memories the kids have of you is a gift you can humbly give
