They've always hidden their them
behind that heart-shaped red curtain.
Now the incontinent inevitable
will fan its chill over the thought
impossible. They say life starts with
a 'B' but they guess it starts with
'should we be as open and as comfort
engendering as our breezy blue open seas?'
The mark, its christening and baptismal
anointment will be their desired lesson.
Their words are sharp: they're
keys, they're strength, and they're
the light.
Let them use our words, let them sing
about the mystified phenomenon
behind which they've built a life.
Let them stop hiding: one way
or another, they'll be fished out
